FEED ME, SEYMOUR!!
In my last quarter at UCSC, I worked in the props shop. Most of the class was focused on finding or creating the props for the productions happening that quarter, but our final project was to create a prop of our own.
Little Shop of Horrors is one of my favorite musicals, and I love Audrey Two. For my final I made an Audrey Two (affectionately called Twoey in the show) of my very own! Twoey changes sizes through the show, and while I would have LOVED to make the gigantic puppet that's seen in the end of the show, I made the "mama bear" version.
At the end of the quarter, I gave Twoey to my favorite professor, who teaches a class about monsters, and now Twoey lives in his office.
One of my friends is a film maker, and in 2017, he asked if I could make a sweet little robot out of cardboard.
After many hours of measuring, cutting, taping, and adjusting, BLiP came into the world!
